Joseph Drissel

Founder and CEO

In November of 2010, Joseph founded CyberESI after an extensive career in information systems and cybersecurity with the Federal Government.  More than $250 billion is lost each year in the US alone to cyberattack, and Joe was driven by the opportunity to change that outside the confines of large, sometimes slow-to-respond organizations.

Through years of service to government and commercial customers, Joe has built a formidable skill set and come to intimately understand what works and what doesn’t.  This is the knowledge base at the core of CyberESI.

Joe has served on the faculty of the Computer Science Department at the University of Maryland in Baltimore County. He regularly speaks on the topics of cyber security, intrusions, forensics analysis and the value of proactive data protection, including at the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Conference, to the US Commerce Department, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and a variety of commercial industry leaders.
